I'd say they're trying to f**k over all the modders out there who've shown what their previous games SHOULD'VE been like!!

Well that is true, but it also makes me wonder if they're angling towards a subscription type system for the future too.

The problem here also guys is - if the PC gamers don't support the release then they will quite simply not make the versions for the pc anymore...so we have to be careful IMO

That is true, but the way it's going they're all console aimed now anyway and PC's pretty much just an afterthought. Stuffed if I'm going to buy a n00b aimed game (even though you all know I am one) with content aimed at a 13yo just because they're partners with MicroWank.

Same game as Console? In other words massive massive fail on the game play, probably means 12 players max, Will I get it? No idea now, seems to be a waste of time unless the Co-Op is decent, then only for that.

With the wealth of games out and coming out that support Co-Op (COD WAW, R6V2, L4D, KF, Borderlands, Fallen earth) I don't think it will be worth getting even for that IMHO Hicksy :(

imo if they really cared about PC gamers then they wouldn't be doing this shit to us, so I'd say that thats the way they're gonna head anyway, whether they sell out on PC versions or not. We're just suckers that spent a lot on our machines so we could enjoy our gaming only to be screwed over because gaming companies would rather head the other direction :(.

This is a joke right? Consoles are different in the setup for servers and have not even half the players able to get on a server as they can not handle it, this is what pissed me off about the new Wolf, 12 players max on PC, WTF is that shit.

The problem is, IW do not run the servers for their games, people who enjoy them get their own servers up and running, people like ourselves, OTP, Old Farts and so on. We either run mods of stock standard game types and enjoy ourselves. Might be time to whinge and make sure the Boss doesn't order any copies, I am still in two minds though, I love games with a Co-Op feature :(

Yep, this certainly is crap. But I feel that IW are just trying to make more money, they've already said that they will be introducing DLC (Downloadable content) for this game and they MAY consider charging for it, as they do with the console versions.

Is it also another method in which they can reduce pirating of pc games? I'm sure that is still rampant in the pc community. I honestly do think that the days of free multiplayer gaming are limited. Everything is starting to go subscription based.

Anyway I doubt that it will bother them too much, they will still make an absolute killing out of the console versions of MW2. I dont think I'll bother with the game, Borderlands is looking like the big end of year game for me anyway:)

Well thanks to all the aimbotters, game cheats, and the general game exploiters. It has now come to this (controlled gaming). And no Thanks to Punkbuster for the lack of control of the game cheats.A good Idea badly controlled by punkbuster.(Freedom is now a dirty word) in PC gaming. You want a patch to fix your game it will be money first then you can have the patch..Its all about the Money..

Looks like it's time to organize OLDr LAN's around Australia for some lag free, cheat free and drunken gaming. Also on our own servers!

+1 for this idea Hicksy, and yes Freddy I think you've hit the nail on the head. The cheats/glitchers etc's have certainly killed PC multiplayer gaming. Well done Cybergamer crew!!!!
