Call of Duty: World at War - Map Pack 2 due in June

Listen up, soldiers! We're drawing some new battle lines in Call of Duty: World At War, with the announcement that Map Pack 2 will be releaesd in June. Taking inspiration from the insanely popular Map Pack 1, the second release will contain three multiplayer maps - Banzai, Corrosion and Sub Pens - as well as a new zombie offering, Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp). True to form, the new pack will be released on all three platforms - PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

    Map Pack #1
Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia has the score:
“Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 underscores Treyarch’s commitment to delivering ongoing support, and new multiplayer and co-op Zombie gameplay experiences for our players. Our community has been outstanding and has driven support for Map Pack 1, as well as demand for additional downloadable content like Map Pack 2.”
[IMG]So - let's look at those new Call of Duty: World At War maps themselves.

    • Banzai sees gamers competing for control of a tall river bridge located deep within enemy territory.
    • Corrosion takes place in a shattered Russian train yard.
    • Sub Pens is a close-quarter map, gamers struggling to take control of a bombed-out submarine base

...and then there's Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp), which is an all-new co-op experience, chock-full of Imperial Zombies rising from misty swamps - and a level that boasts a mix of traps, flaming Hell Hounds, Perk machines and the new (and deadly!) Wunderwaffe DG-2. All of this is wrapped up neatly with 10 new Xbox 360 Achievements / PS3 Trophies for you to earn as you go, just in case you needed further convincing.

The only date we have for this right now is "June", which (as of today) is only a month away. We'll keep our collective ears to the ground, and as soon as we hear any more specific rumblings about Call of Duty: World At War, you'll know all about it.

You know what would be better, a way to limit the weapons on servers without having to use a mod, like good old Day of Defeat! But happy to see new maps at this stage.

Have to agree with you there Hicks, be nice to have a bit more control over stuff in the config without having to resort to mods to do it.
