    Wolfenstein website goes live

Last year, at id Software's annual QuakeCon some first details regarding Wolfenstein were revealed. To be developed in partnership by Raven Software and Endrant Studios, the revival of the Wolfenstein property is surrounded by uncertainty, with very little information having been revealed regarding the game play and plot of the title.

All that is due to change shortly, with the official launch of the Wolfenstein website promising a flurry of new trailers, screenshots and news regarding the title soon. Devoid (for now) of any viral marketing the website features a number of blog posts, and welcoming arms for new recruits and Wolfenstein veterans alike.

Wolfenstein, which is due for release at some undetermined point in the future, will see gamers step into the shoes of BJ Blazkowicz, where as a member of the Office of Secret Actions will infiltrate the heart of Nazi Germany in a bid investigate reports of a "new and mysterious power" which could bring about an end to the war.

After some investigation, Blazkowicz uncovers a disturbing fact - the Nazis are developing a weapon that will harness "the power of the Black Sun" through a "dark, parallel dimension called the Veil" - which in its merry description is actually a "weapon of war ending mass destruction".

More information regarding Wolfenstein will be released shortly, with new trailers and screenshots expected to land in the near future. Wolfenstein will be available on the PC, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
