Interesting read actually mate, I'm a fan of Football (Soccer) but also NFL, Rugby Union and Rugby League, it's interesting that when I was growing up Soccer wasn't played much at school or sports around my area, it was mainly cricket, athletics and AFL. I think the only state here I played Soccer at school was WA until High School when my mates and I played for sport in year 10. It's more involved now in schools I've seen and reported more in the news and so on.

We never even heard of soccer when I was growing up, but it was practically a right of passage when my daughter was in junior high and high school a couple of years back. Soccer is making inroads; I just don't see if taking over the airwaves, like football. Football is easy to understand and everyone here has an innate understanding of it because they grew up with it.

Now that's an interesting concept, NFL simpler than football ... and yes bud, I'm talking about the proper football, not the one with pads :p.
