System Shock 2 Fix!

Hey guys! Was rummaging thru some old CD's and found System Shock 2!

BUT! If you have a mother board with more than One Core , It will not work. It will Freez every few minutes..

So, the fix is:

Run ss2.exe as Admin & Run in Compatibility mode Windows XP (Sp1 or sp2)
Once done, Run ss2.exe to play, Once loaded into the Game press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Once in, click "Processes" and find ss2.exe, Right Click on it & Select "Set Affinity"

Once there, you want to Un-Tick all CPU's but CPU 0. Once done, you will NEVER have any crashes in System Shock 2! (That is Caused by Compatibility issues)

*Note: This will NOT affect any other Game, Only for ss2*

UPDATE: Also, this problem may occur on Windows XP, Do the same steps with the "CTRL+ALT+DEL"

 

That game was awesome, it was one of the first shooters I ever played and my god it scared the crap out of me. An oldie but a classic. Did you ever get to the end of the game and defeat the evil computer? God I cant remember her name now...
