Not I young man, went to Avast after the corrupt update file with AVG. Haven't looked better and my PC runs a hell of a lot better too ... I blamed the crap performance on XP SP3, but it was AVG causin' it all.

Avast all the way for me.

Too many false positives was the reason I stopped using AVG more than a year ago. Guess it was only a matter of time until it flagged an OS file.

I'm using the paid version of AVG with no real issues as yet, other than the XP SP3 balls-up.

yeah gave it the arse a few months back, I used to love but it seemed to go downhill with frilly unnecessary stuff. Switched to avast, very happy.

One of my boys got a bug even though AVG was on, updated etc... After the reformat and install, switched to Avast on all home PCs. That was a few months back and no probs or issues on 32 or 64 bit systems.

Guess what, I switched to Avast this morning. AVG again failed to update, so bugger them. I'd have to say Avast is a better product.

Someone is bringing a 3rd party server in onto our network next week, discussed with the guys and we are removing AVG when it comes in and putting our Companies Trend Micro license on it, no matter what 3rd party wants.

We don't want avg on our network.

I have also switched for the same reason as Jello....the updater thingy
It looks good so far and seems to sit lighter on the system

    Thanks Bikkies
