Governments and their supporters always want to take guns away from the populace in any manner that they can. They want us to be at their mercy with no recourse.

Lazarus Long - In a mature society, “civil servant” is semantically equal to “civil master.”

Notice it's only woman who are complaining about this. Back when I was growing up in the age of the dinosaurs, if we didn't have a toy gun from the shops we made our own. Back then the only violent type movies were westerns the occaisional war movie or weekly shows like Combat, Wagon Train and Bonanza, the police shows like The Untouchables etc. The boys would still play cowdies and indians or war, we knew we were only playing and it was all make believe. Now all the goody goody two shoes and shit head social workers want to make life safe. Most parents today want to wrap their kids in cotton wool and not let them get dirty or hurt in any way.

This is just another example of it. We live in a violent society and have done for ages.

What I think these people are worried about is the current generation of young people in general, they have no or very little respect for anybody else. They seem to have no concept of cause and effect. They think that everything is just handed to them on a plate because that is what their parents have been doing for them. They don't recognise the boundaries that I and my generation grew up with because their parents were too concerned with not hurting their little feelings to impose them. Only giving them positive encouragement instead of telling them that they screwed up when they did. School teachers cant tell the truth about little Johny who happens to be a lazy little shit because the parents don't like to hear negative things about their baby. Hence we now have a group of out of control, semi adults.

The police are powerless to actually do anything. I remember my dad telling me about the gang problem in Moonee Ponds down here in Melbourne when he was a teen. To break the gangs up the police would follow individuals from the gangs home and beat the crap out of them till they got the message that being in a gang that cause trouble was not good for your health. The cops of today wouldn't be able to do this sort of thing, even though it's what is needed sometimes. The bleeding hearts of this world would be standing up for the troublesome gang members.

Well now that I've gotten that off my chest I feel much better now.
    End of rant.

I used to drive trucks now and then, it was amazing the amount of people who cut off a truck that has Explosive signs on it.... Used to do the ammo runs at the Army base, so many retards, plus I used to ride motorcycles, again, so many idiots in cars, trucks and yes, on bikes. The Gov won't learn though, they use things like games to take the focus away from the real problems facing us daily.

Lets face it, society as we know it is rooted. Way to many bleeding hearts to do anything good nowadays and no one in power with the balls to do it either. No more black or white, it's grey............ I wonder why ppl go postal?

Think about if they listened in to our TS chat some nights, esp if Case and I get on and greet each other with our normal greetings, as a group of gamers we are so Un-PC it's great, we do have to take care but normally we can rip the piss out of one another and have a good laugh about it.
