    Rainbow 6:Vegas 2

As some of you have probably have seen a few of us are regulars playing Rainbow 6:Vegas 2 which was cheap a month or so ago on Steam and still is, it's another one of Tom Clancy's games but I must say, the gameplay is excellent and the AI above par. The story mode can be played Co-op with a friend or even Vampey, this gives you in total 4 players which includes 2 CPU team mates which can not be changed.

Our favorite mode currently is Terrorist hunt which is 4 players hunting down a certain amount of Terrorists on different maps, we normally play the hardest level and the highest amount of bots, normally around the 50 mark. We have also setup and run a dedicated server now and then for player v player fun and games, I host this server at home on my laptop, good for about 5v5 with my connection. Thanks to Cerb we found the issues with the server not allowing connections on the notebook, we had to forward some ports, well done mate!

The server when running is called "Online_Dawdlers" and normally only runs Team Death Match as the other options are ok, but not all that great without a real dedicated server and decent pipe. One of the issues I found was I had to create a Ubisoft account for the server which is why it's Online_Dawdlers as I made it for us. So either one night this week or even on the weekend the server will be up and running, lets get as many of us in there as possible and have some fun, I will need feedback on the connection as well, but we've played with I think 7 of us max and it's been great!

Cya on the field of battle.

If it's a Steam version Ky try Validating install then do a Defrag through Steam Buddy (they are both under propitities in your Steam games list)

Ok guys and girls, this weekend I will be running my TDM server on Saturday night from about 6 or 7pm with 10 slots, I may expand it out to 14 and see how it handles, connection is above the spec's for 10 anyway so worth a shot. Seems we have a few keen from TOG (Good bit), who have either just recently purchased the game or looking for some fun. So let me know if you want in so I can work on numbers and if I need to change the config, Cerbz, that means idea's for rounds as well.

I am thinking 2 rounds per map or 30min gametime, what are the thoughts on this people!

No probs B, I will organize another one and it might become a regular thing as long as my cap holds out, thank god uploads are not counted for me, I might see if I can talk to GA again about getting a server up and running.

Hicks, I think we should play it 1 round per map with a time limit of 20 per map, some what like a CoD2,4,5 TDM server, once the time limit is reached (or 100 kills) then the map should rotate, have ALL maps in the rotation and see how we go on that, if we start and need to change something mid game then we could always do that...
Make sure that the HC mode or whatever it is call is turned OFF :p lol
