Is it just me? Ok I've been thinking about Jello's thread re 2009 games and there's quite a few that peaked my interest. But, I have a multitude of games that I have yet to complete some from several years back. So the question is, do you have games yet to finish but still like/purchase new ones?
10 years ago yes definitely, but now with things a bit 'tighter' and me not jumping from one fad to another I tend to complete games I have that I like. Do have a couple that I haven't finished but tend to flit back to them every now and then.
I've still got a few that I havent finished eg. Fallout 3, and Red Alert 3. I just find that I dont have the time to play them like I used to. Nowadays I can only get on for an hour or two so I tend to stick to COD or do a bit of grinding on WOW/WAR. I'd love to sit down a finish a few games, but just cant devote 20+ hours a week to it
Finish the ones you have if they still interest you Mayday, don't play them to finish them if the only reason is that they cost you money. One you get through the backlog of games you have, clear the slate and start a new, the ones you didn't finish you didn't want to play will not be a hinderence. Just set a point and move on.
yeh, got a few over the years that I never finished, usually something I picked up in the bargain bin. I agree with what Bikkies said, if I loose interest in it, I won't finish it.
Im just going to focus one the ones that I have found interesting in the list RnR posted and try not to get caught up in rushing in and buying any of them on release day....and wait and see how they pan out ....likes been said I don't have 20+ hrs a week to play games either ...and agree with bikkies on the look forward approach as well.
bah humbug Bikkies, still haven't finished Doom 3 or it's addon. I'll get there one day. I will do what Whack is thinking of though, not rushing in and grabbing a game because of the hype surrounding it, well maybe I'll do that.
Hopefully most of the games coming this year will have a decent multiplayer demo available. No demo, no purchase. Personally I'm not looking for any single player games atm. If I feel the need for solitary enjoyment I just fire up Civ IV. It still rocks my boat that game.
So true RnR, most of my games are purchased solely for the MP aspect of the game, I've been into more team aspect games for a while, solo play just isn't as fun to be honest.
