    Internode be AWESOME

Just read this today ladies and gents.

So the first thing I did was log in to the Node page and changed my plan, I was paying the same price for 40GB as I was waiting for Internode to get this sorted, I know iiNet and Internode were battling with Telstra Wholesale over this for a while now. So I now pay $89 a month for the same speeds but get 200GB, I don't care that uploads are counted, with 200GB I don't care! I thought I should share this in case other Node customers here don't see the news :D

Hey Hicks, I'm with Internode too. Got their upgrade letter in my inbox. Went from 15Gb @ $70 to 60gB @ $50. Go figure how I could be any worse off!! My speed meter says 6.5 down and .8 up.... Not bad for the fringes of Melb.

If you're on an extreme plan then you're on an Internode port at your local exchange and the upgrade doesn't apply.

These upgrades only apply to people who receive their Internode service via Telstra ports. It's a result of Telstra finally reducing what they charge Internode. If you're on an Internode port then you're still better off than those on Telstra ports.

Interesting that the ADSL1 can do that! I thought the modems would limit the speeds, but clearly this isnt the case!

If your a big downloader on ADSL2+, the best plan would still have to be the 100% true unlimited plan from TPG for $59.99 per month IMO!

I've been with TPG before and I won't go back to them Bronsen, I've tried a few and settled on Node, for me it's superior service and support.

I must admit, the service isnt spectacular. Took me weeks to get a connection after missed appointments, etc. Been good ever since though touch wood!

TBh Internode offers great service, but really lack good price per download packages.. They have fallen beind the other ISPs in a massive way of late

I do agree with that Sassie, thier plans are not as cheap as other ISP's & hopefully they will do something about that & they do regularly change their plan pricing throughout the year. I will be sticking with Node, simply because their service is brilliant.

I prefer to pay that little extra for the service I get though when I rarely need it, but I've been with them for a while now and sticking there, I was thinking about a change due to all the changes in other ISP's, but because they changed after winning the battle with TW I like what I get now, I pay the same price as before and get an extra 160GB worth of data.

Oh yeh, couldn't agree more. I've looked at changing ISP's a few times, but have always ended up staying with Node, due to their service, been with them for what must be 6-7 years now.

Service wise I don't think so though, I've been with iiNet, TPG and a couple of others, I found Node to be the best in terms of service and reliability so far.

Couldn't agree more Hicksy. Node support is so far above any other provider out there. Most of the time you don't require that support. But when you do, believe me the experience is made so much easier to cope with when dealing with an ISP that hasn't outsourced their service support offshore. Having Steve from Brighton, Adelaide deal with your issue opposed to Ramish from India is more than enough justification for me.
