    Ok, if any1 has played the HL2 Mod Game, The Hidden: Source and liked it. You will love this too.

    It is being made by C13, Mainly Falcar who has put alot of time and effort into it.

    Here is a brief explanation of the mod.

    What is Obscurity?

    Obscurity is a mod in development made by C13 member (Falcar) with the help of Falco and Snakelet. It basically introduces a predator-styled gametype where one player (or more, depending on the amount of people in the server) has to hunt down and kill the others. This single player, or Obscurity, is visible as a black flicker and his only damaging attack is the knife.

    Playing as an Obscurity

    Choose between Survivors and Obscurity at the start of the round, or switch halfway through. The Obscurity is capable of moving much faster than regular humans, and has an increased field of view which can be disorientating to start with but is a great advantage. He is also able to see in dark areas easily but is almost blinded by the sun when outside.

    As the Obscurity you can freeze in midair using the Use Key (by default, F). This is useful for surviving large falls or hovering above doorways. Another special ability he posseses is that he can instantly swap places with another character. This is done with the main fire of his sniper rifle, and will recharge in a set amount of time (by default 20 seconds).

    Keep in mind that you have extra health and are barely visible unless you are moving fast or standing up, so use this to your advantage to sneak up on people. Also, the Survivors can hear the Obscurities when they are nearby. This sound effect is also scaled depending on the player's movement speed.

    Playing as a Survivor

    To play as a Survivor, you must simply kill or avoid the Obscurities. Many of the weapons have been disabled in the interest of balance, particularly C4, Claymores and Heavy Gunners.

    Rules While Playing Obscurity Mod

    -Keep the teams balanced, a 3:1 ratio of Survivor:Obscurity seems to work best.
    -If you are swapped by an Obscurity, scream it out on vent.

    It's mostly done atm, we are just adding things like different sound effects. Also trying to get out autobalancing working.

    We want it to randomly choose the Obscurity depending on how many Players are in the server. Its a bit buggy atm and the server crash's sumtimes lol.

    UPDATE******

    Note, We have now added Incendiary Grenades that can light the Obscure on fire. Only available to the Assault and Demo class.

    We also now have motion sensors for the Sniper and Spec-Ops Class

    UPDATE******

    We have now added Shock Grenades to the Obscurity. For use when all the survivors decide to camp in a big ball.

    When thrown and exploded on the target, it acts similar to a stun. They can barely move, but instead of barely moving your gun around your screen shakes away from the actual angel of the camera so you cant shoot straight.

    Ok We Have Updated Alot To this mod since I last Posted.

    We Have Added the following.

    -Darkened the Maps
    -Added Glow Sticks
    -Individually Darkened Each Map (Not the Gay Zombie Mod Fog crap )
    -Removed Night Vision
    -Added various ambiance scare noises
    -Added a Finale Sound File (Duke Nukem)
    -Removed MG's
    -Fixed alot of the maps that crashed
    -Obscurity can see each other now.
    -Improved on the autobalance
    -Added admin command to change people teams

    -AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - Added more slots to the server.

    Added the following

    -Blackened smoke grenades for the obscuritys. A line of black smoke follows the trail of where the nade is thrown. It has taken the spot of regular grenades.
    -Added the ability to cripple survivors. To cripple them, you knife them in the legs. When crippled you go prone. Move very slowly, when you attempt to jump while crippled your health is set to 1.
    -Due to alot of peoples request, we have implemented our first system of gore. Knifing a survivor in the head will cause the body to explode into a puff of blood. Also various effects for other deaths.
    -Autobalance feature is now fully operational.
    -Tweaked the way obscurity see each other. Instead of seeing a human player model. It is a much clearer version of the smoke.
    -Most, if not all maps now work without getting weapon errors.
    -To prevent people Swap Camping(Sitting behind an obscurity as they switch so you may knife the survivor), As the round begins. The swap gun now starts charging upon spawning instead of it already being loaded.
    -Fixed the map rotation so randomly the server will just not load the next map and sit in lobby.


    Tweaked 2 game modes

    HQ - Obscurity cannot capture the point. There aim is to prevent survivors from controlling the point. Once the based is captured, the obscurity can destroy the HQ.
    1 point is granted every second to survivor that the HQ is held. 1 point is awarded to Obscurity each second it is not under control. You cannot see the "Capturing Bar" and need to be very close.

    Search And Destroy - The Survivors are trying to plant a bomb in the Obscuritys home town so to speak. Plant time is going to be either 15 or 20 seconds. 10 second Respawn time. If the bomb is planted Survivors Win, as the bomb explodes 5 seconds later. With a 6 second defuse time. You must lay down your life to protect the bomb carrier.
