    It's a game and I like playing it, so don't start...

    Any OLDrs who play on any of the online chess servers? I've not done so to date, as if I'm playing games on my computer they tend to be ones that I can't play sitting quietly with a mate and a glass of whisky or two.

    Still, never to late to expand one's horizons and get thrashed at chess online, so if there're recommendations out there I'd be interested to hear them.

    I've never actually played the game correctly, I tried in school many years ago but couldn't get it, was more interested in playing Cricket, football etc. I have Chess on my PC and Laptop, but it's against the AI which always beats me. Maybe some of the other guys play, find out soon enough mate :)

    I've played chess online before....and yes, I was drinking. When my opponent reached my end of the board, he kept saying "King Me!" I then realized I was playing Checkers and never played again!;)

    I would mind a nice game of chess. Does yahoo games or pogo have something that might work? We could set up a ladder, if enough players were interested.
