So whaddya think of that new Aion kid? Any good? Pfft, MMORPGS are a dime a dozen these days, and I haven't seen anything to tempt me above and beyond the competition's offerings. Not interested!

Wait - what's that you say? A dedicated local server? Right now? Really? Hmm, maybe we'd better take another look!

NCSoft have certainly gone some way towards winning Australian gamers' hearts with the announcement that come launch day, the Nezekan server will exits purely to satisfy the cravings of Oceanic residents - that's Australia and New Zealand.

What do we get from our very own realm? All the predictable benefits, like encountering people in-game who don't ask if you ride to school on a kangaroo, and are possibly awake at the same time of day. On the game's side of things, events will be scheduled at times more convenient to the traditional working week, so you don't have to sneak an install onto your work machine.

Although the server will be tagged simply as "West" during the game's launch, NCSoft will have the server list relabeled within two weeks, and have promised to do whatever they can to ensure players are aware that Nezekan is only for locals.

The Nezekan server's restriction to down under begins with the Preselection and head Start events this weekend, so if you're one of those who pre-ordered Aion, keep the name Nezekan in mind when you line up for your exclusive!
