Now a lot of you guys I know are World of Tank fans, I don't mind it myself but I can find it pretty slow game play wise. I was checking out free games on Steam the other day and come across an interesting title, Star Conflict. It sounded like it could be a fun game to muck around in, well how right I was. It is a space based game, similar in design to WoT but the game play is a lot faster to me, and seems a lot more involved, now I haven't done the PVP aspect of the game, only Scenario's so far (PVE) which so far are a lot of fun. I will be trying out some more when I can of course, but so far it's got me hooked Video of Vampey and I playing last night. http://star-conflict.com/
http://onlinedawdlers.com/index.php?threads/star-conflict-f2p-mmo.59906/ I never found a wingman, so I quit playing.
Damn mate, I haven't really been checking the forums all that much so I am guessing I missed it. I am playing it at the moment though
I will see about downloading it again today then. SC, like WoT looks like it plays better with a team.
It does of course, but I think it's like WoT and that if you sign up for the PVP aspect of the game with 4 or more it puts you into a higher bracket it seems, people were complaining in chat. So far we've only done a squad of 3 signing up, I was playing last night and got a few kills, 6 out of 8 actually There are a few modes of game play, one is interesting where one player from each side is made the "commander" and if they are killed you can no longer respawn, so in a couple of matches I defended the commander or in the case of one match, I went hunting their commander down as no one was hitting him/her.
Let me know if you guys want to have a game, we can do a scenario which is 4 players max as a little training exercise before battle against other players, I won't be available tonight though after 9pm due to raiding commitments.
I am interested, but working 8am to 11pm mon to thurs. back on office hours next week I think....... until thursday when I'm going to Melbourne for the Grand Prix
That is a good read actually and I do agree with the negatives, you do feel like you are trying to win on your own, I should be up for some this weekend if people are keen as well to play, the Scenarios are fun to do as well although you don't get as much Exp as you do with PVP.
