Savage 2: Official AU Ranked Server now on Games On Net

Well folks, I have some good news and some bad news for you.

Bad news: The official Australian ranked Savage 2 server was closed down this week, much to the dismay of gamers around the country.

Good news: There is a new official Australian ranked Savage 2 server, thanks to Games On Net!

Better news: As we mentioned last year, the game is now free to download and free to play - so go grab a client (Windows, Mac, 32bit Linux or 64bit Linux) and jump in the server!

Savage 2: Tortured Soul builds on the successes of the first title to create new battlefields for multiplayer loving gamers to call home. Return to the fantasy realm of Newerth to continue the epic battle of Savage. As in the original, the game combines traditional RTS play with fast action combat in a multiplayer environment. Savage 2 uses a 20 unit class based system that should create more variety and strategy to who chooses what units in battle, and is more Battlegroup/officer based than their original for tighter structure and more complex battles.

I am downloading this for some fun, Bikkies and I used to play heaps with the orginal Savage, looking forward to having a crack at the newer version now it's free
