Sad News for anyone that plays/played EvE online.

Don't know if anyone knows this, but I was informed today that the man who played the "tars tarkhas" and "un'cas" toons in EvE (John Cook), Has passed away from a heart attack at age 52.
Don't know how many of you knew him, but he was a great guy and an awesome PvP'er, I think last time we talked he was on the way to becoming number 1 for kills. He also flew a maelstrom that had YahWeh's own Alpha Strike(tm).
As a measure of the man, his last, thoughtful, words to me were: "You have a sec status of +5??? You giant tit of a carebear!, get your ass back into 0.0!" (true story).
I used to spend a lot of time mission whoring with him before oldr corp started,I took it as a compliment when a man of that skill level said that I was the best drake pilot he'd ever flown with.

Havn't spoken to him for ages, sucks to have missed any future oportunity...
Too young to pass away....

I flew with Un'cas in a couple of Corps in EVE, he was a great player and a great person in general.

Dedication to the great man... definitely needs more cowbell

 

The character un'cas sounds familiar, but I most likely never ran into him. In any case, I'm thinking of his family today. 52 is way too young for anyone to leave this world.

 

Had the privilege to fly with Un'cas in exceed inc and do some missions with him and satan as i remember in my first mega. .. all i can say this sucks...
