Is that good?

 

runs nearly anything I throw at it + @ 3 screens.

Got one a few months back as a side grade for my failing 780 sli ending up being a a decent upgrade for me.

Doom @ 5900 x 1080 at Ultra settings @ 60fps a few dips here and there but not often enough to be degrading drop to high and its over 100fps

 

But check the price on 1070s if your not ocing the shit out of it a 1070 might be a better buy

 

My 980ti cost $1100 roughly 10 months ago. It renders 100-130 fps at 3440x1440 in every game I've played in "quality" settings. That sounds like a great deal, however I'm not sure how that compares to the 10 series. Typical, one series up, one sub-series down is how nVidia's business model works.

 

Its about level with GTX 1070 unless Async Compute or VR comes into play.
Mate who has a 1070 reckons 1070 is about 4FPS faster at 1080P.

GTX 980 Ti can actually pull ahead of 1070 regularly if overclocked, due to 1070's much more limited overclock potential.
However it runs hotter and draws significantly more power to get that result.

Any quality 650w power supply should handle the 980 Ti.
