    Anyone looked at this game?

Based on the UT3 engine. Seems to be a fair number of players in Australia.

    Trailers at http://www.frontlinesgame.com/

I played the open beta ages ago and thought it would be a great game, but at that stage there was a complete lack of players interested world wide, with any luck it might have picked up, will check it out.

I have downloaded the demo and watched some game play movies. Seems ok and could be alot of fun. Sounds like alot of ut'ers have gone across to Frontlines while waiting for Epic's next move in the UT saga.

When did you play it? I might give it another go. I was a little quick in shutting it down. Been reading a fairly long thread over at ocau, and it seems the game was shite early on, but nowadays it rocks and rocks hard. The developers have been spitting out patches, new maps, weapons and vehicles since release. Shits over BF2 apparently, and the community is growing here in Australia.

Pity they didn't do the same for UT3 I remember reading a lot of whinging moaning rants about how dismal the game was ...more so the way the game ran...or didn't run being buggy....but that was on that other site were they all bitch moan and back bite each other...
    ;)

I have noticed a few peeps on my xfire list playing it so I may go look at it as COD WAW hasn't really lighten my fire...

I'll download the demo, I didn't see it on steam, so I am guessing we can get it from another mirror ?

I found the demo in the freezone of iinet.

If you can't find it there, try going to GamingSA.Com They have all the Australian patches and presumable the demo as well. This mob seems to be only ones running servers in Australia, but they seem to do a reasonable good job of it.

I'm behind a gov firewall atm, and all gaming file related sites are filtered for me. Just not various gaming forums ;)

Yup - that looks right. Mine was labeled 'Beta', which is probably the same as your 'RC5'. Same size too.

Bugger - the only demo servers are overseas. I have asked the contact from gamingsa.com on another forum, if they still run a demo server thats not listed in the game browser. I'll post here with any details...

no dedicated server support with the demo guys
that equals epic fail in my opinion

like Joint Ops, it's a great game that could have killed Battlefield but was executed terribly hence fail

Talking to the Community Manager from the game studio's on the ocau forum. Maybe we can sort something out.
