serious note now, you mentioned before you logged from xfire that payments are being taken now? how do i go about that? same account as the OLDr shirts or is it Disco's account? Obviously won't go jumping to any payments before I get word so hit me up when you get home, bro!

Update 10.07.09

In addition to the LAN weekend regarding Liquor Licensing (LL), I have applied for an extended licence for Friday and Saturday nights to allow the consumption of alcohol on the premises until 2:00am. With the submission of this application I would not be surprised if LL pays us a surprise visit over the weekend as it is the first time such an application has been submitted for our venue. I have spoken to my LL representitive who has clearly stated that we do not have to vacate the venue after these times and we can carry on doing what we do. For any alcoholic beverages to be consumed after these hours, must be done so in their room only. I am happy to follow these guidelines as our company cannot afford the $18,500 fine that comes with the breaching this law and a cool $2,750 for the offender. While we're on the topic of losing money, I would also like to make it quite clear that I will not supply liquor to anyone that is deemed unduly intoxicated as it carries the lovely fine of $50,000 for the company and a cool $8,000 for you. But as we are all responsible TOG members and upstanding citizens, one would like to think that we will not breach any of these laws. Thanks for understanding these rules.

The Roll call has now been capped at 35 people due to the show of deposits at this time. If we had the 50 people at this point I would have been able to organise with the commercial electrician the installation of a separate sub-board adjacent to the current power board in the conference centre to power an event for 50 computers. This was quite an outlay financially and was a cost I was willing to wear if the numbers came through. At this stage it does not look like we will get the 50 people so I have made the decision to cap the event at 35 people which is a number that the conference centre can support. We will still need to do some work on the current power board which is no problem, but I will aim for 50 again next year and cross this power bridge once again.

Update 9.06.09

With the main event drawing closer it is time for Deposits to be taken.
To secure your position $100 per person is required by the26th June 2009. This deposit is non refundable on cancellation unless your position is filled by another attendee. The remaining $150 is required 1 week prior to the event which will be 31st July 2009.

These deposits will hopefully encourage everyone to get into gear with organising what they need to, eg. annual leave, get out of house free card from the wife etc, and in the unfortunate event that you may not be able to attend, it will leave enough time for a reserve to get organised.

Payments can be made via credit card over the phone or by EFT.
