COD7 (can you believe it!) rumour

Only a few weeks ago, Xboxic brought to your attention that Treyarch the development team behind ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ were looking for staff to work within the Call of Duty team. The only information present in the job adverts that another Call of Duty was in development was that the job requires working on a ‘triple A’ first person shooter for the Call of Duty Team - obvious right? Well unless theres official word everything can only remain a rumour, but the jobs are real and more information has come to light regarding what could be the next big hit for Treyarch.

Activision, the publishers behind the Call of Duty series has been rumoured to pursuing licenses for Vietnam War era music as well as Cuban, Soviet Union and African music for the use in what could only be known right now as ‘Call of Duty 7′ which is meant to have the involvement of ‘Call of Duty: World at War’s’ senior producer Noah Heller.
Putting together the pieces, we already know that Treyarch are developing again, there has been a Call of Duty title released every year without fail since 2005, and with Activision seeking licenses for Vietnam War era music it seems likely that this will be the new setting for Call of Duty after ‘Modern Warfare2′ currently in development by Infinity Ward. Since Treyarch and Infinity ward release a Call of Duty title every other year it seems to be logical that Treyarch should start work on a release for 2010 now considering ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ was released 6 months ago!
I know we are gearing up for Modern Warfare 2 this November, but would a Vietnam setting for Treyarch’s next installment be good enough to top World at War - or what other locations would you have hoped for?

Mmmm, this would be good actually, I enjoyed BF:Nam a lot and think this would be good to see, I would just hope that one day dev's will Remember Australians and Kiwi's had troops in these battles as well! SLR, Greens and a Slouch hat = Win!

So is COD4;Modern warfare2 going to be COD6. CODW@W is that COD5??? I though CODW@W was really COD4W@W and not COD5.

Seems pretty confusing for a simple pom
