I thought I'd post this up for those of us who knew Wotfor from the "other place".

The old fellow has macular degeneration and has had to stop playing on line as he can't see the screen clearly any more.

Today I met the DC of the TOG Day of Defeat:Source Division about 5 kms from Wotty's place and guided him to the house in order for him to pass on a tribute to the old bloke from the TOG Division he played in right up to the last.

The DOD:S blokes took up a collection and had the marvelous glass memento made and engraved. Here are a couple of photos

It doesn't look good here but in the "flesh" it's great!

Wotfor is still going strong and has asked me to say Hi to all his old friends

Thanks for posting Pentu, I have so much respect for this man, we played many games together when he was on and he enjoyed a good yarn and a good game of DOD. He is a legend and I wish the bloke all the best!

Wotty is a good bloke, he was infact our oldest member at TOG & it was great to have a bloke his age giving online gaming a go. I wish him all the best.

Thnx for the post Pent, you ain't a bad fella either ;)

I really enjoyed playing with Wotty in my TOG days!! He never gave up giving it a go and on a good day gave as good as he got! Meeting him and his family at his house a few years ago was a day I won't forget either. A true gentleman surrounded by loving and caring family. Macular degeneration is a cruel disease. My stepfather suffered through it before he passed a few years ago and it took away his last few pleasures being reading and watching his pommy soccer but I'm so glad Wotty's doing well if not able to game anymore and would love to see him again some day. Think he'd be up to another BBQ someday Pentu? We'd be there with bells on....even if it meant seeing your smelly self again ;)
