I've been chewing on this for a while and I know others have too.

Why is it that the CoD people ( us lot that play A LOT of CoD ) are having our usual fun time on our CoD server HotDog, and one or more of our fellow OLDr clan members, who may or may not be a regular player, comes to joins us in our fun, frolics and hilarity but don't also join us in TS?

They sometimes don't even say hi or goodbye.

    Why is it so?

This I find not only rude but also offensive.

Are we all such horrible people, that our conversation is not worth listening to? Do we offend?
If this is the case then fine I can understand that some of our back and forth quips at each other can be a bit ribald and can at times cut very close to the bone. BUT we are all friends, well I like to think so, most of us have played with and against each other for ages. Above all we'er all adults and I would have thought we would have developed over the years a thick enough skin to be able to weather any storm.

But to come on and play with us and NOT say hello or goodbye is just being rude and childish.

    Am I wrong?

Was on with CFods last night playing Heroes and Generals, he took off at 8:30 my time for bed and I went offline not long after, wouldn't have been very coherent anyway last night after painkillers. As I said many times though, I rarely use comms when playing games now, I normally have music going while I play, this is normally due to the fact that when I play I am doped up and don't pay attention to what people are saying or when I reply. You could ask Vampey and Purps about that one though.

I didn't see to many online at all, I think Pent and Kiwidog were on when I got on TS and that was it, we have had people move to other groups though to play certain games so I guess they may be on comms for that? Looking to play some H & G tonight again so will be on TS.

Why I do not talk on TS any more: The last 4-5 times I entered your TS channel everybody left and no longer feel welcome, so I don't bother any more. As for typing I don't use a keyboard to play games.

GD the last time I saw you on our WAW server you stayed for one map I think, didn't say hi to anyone nor did you say goodbye or answer any questions that may have been asked of you. After you left we all stayed around and had a great time for another half dozen maps or so. We all did remark about your rudeness when you left though.

I'm sure your computer has a keyboard attached and a quick hi to all wouldn't kill you.
There once was a time when you were regularly on TS and being very sociable.

    What's changed?

The 8 times I've been on the game server the game has crashed last night it crashed 3 times. You obviously don't know that I suffer form Dyslexia and the chat is not up long enough for me to be able to read so I never look at it. Sorry if that offends you.

Then the obvious solution is to get on TS and start talking to us GD.
Just being there and being a part of the banter back and forth makes the game that much more enjoyable I find.

Yes the server dose crash at times, usually caused by a map or some other glitch. But unless you're on TS you won't know this, there are times when we all decide to move to another server. Again unless you're on TS you won't know of this migration.

Slinging off at each other and congratulating others on kills etc, makes for a more enjoyable game I feel.
Hell hanging shit on Pentu or anyone else for that matter is always fun. Especially when it's all done in jest and never meant to hurt or degrade.

It's not the server that crashers, it's my game it crashers back to desk top at the change of maps. This only happens on your server though. Last night I got through 3 maps changers before it crashed the last time.

Yes, this happens to us all GD, it's not just you and it appears to be random.
Some people will be on the map playing others can't even start CoD after the crash, they do a reboot and try again, 9 times out of 10 this fixes the problem, till next time or next map. Frustrating? You betcha.

This is a real pain in the butt I know, it's just the nature of the beast I'm afraid and there's not a lot we can do about it.
At least on this server, HotDog, it doesn't happen all that often when compared to Muffin.

In any case if you had been on TS you would have known what was happening and that you weren't the only one that was affected.

So come on GD get onto TS the next time you come play with us, it'll be fun.

I really can't remember anyone, at any time, leaving TS because you arrived in the CoD channels, GD. I can, however, remember you "blowing a fuse" the last time you came on when you were warned that there was an anti-camping provision active on the server. This was done because we know you liked sniping and was done as a courtesy but you just "blew a fuse"

    *my 2 cents*

i wouldnt find it offensive or rude.....

maybe everytime they join ts 0-2 people are on..

last couple of months TS has been pretty dead.. and its a few that have noticed, so they probably just dont bother joining.. or join and see 1 or 2 on then leave, which then probably a few others join...

Yes I agree Kiz, in the channels other than the CoD one there doesn't seem to be many people if any using our TS server.
It seems the CoD division is alive and well and still socialising with each other. Hopefully this will change now that we have Mr Fish on the scene with BF3 and BC2.

Which begs the question. Where have you been?

I realise the baby bump may be making it difficult to sit close to the computer table so that game play might be a bit difficult but you could jump on TS and give us a run down on how things are going with you and the soon to be evicted passenger.

It may have of been a coincidence That you all left to go to bed 10-15 minutes after i arrived in channel. Think you better check your tapes I haven't camped it up for at least 2.5 years may be longer. So don't know what your talking about Pentu. So if I rant and rave so much Why would want me in your TS anyway?

I think this applies to this thread (its a bit of fun poking from me). From Burn Notice: I think Sam's line applies to gamers and spies. :D:p

Sam Axe: You know spies (gamers). Bunch of bitchy little girls. Good news for you, I'm a drunk and a washout already, so I can talk to whoever I want, burned or no.

If you don't know who Sam is, and you've never heard of Chuck Finley, then this little post will mean nothing to you.:D
