Looks very nice Jello, I forgot I ended up playing the first one, only a couple of months ago though, seems like a great idea and I remember I was keen when PS was released but I was into other games then so didn't bother with it, I will probably get PS2 though, I like the idea of fighting over a planet

 

And then the next planet & next, then back to first planet, then onto another lol

I put a video up in the other thread that gives you a good idea of how it was when the likes of Fods, Ozbrat & myself played.

Well from all reports Hicks, they want to keep as much like the original as they can, as the gameplay was spot on, it just became dated graphically, which from what I've posted here seems to be fixed. Being SOE as well, I don't think this is going be a disappointment like other recent releases.....fingers crossed.

Planetside was big at TOG when I first jioned there & I knew nothing about it, but I got sucked into it, it was just the simple vastness of the game, the maps are massive, the battles epic & there has been nothing to compare it too other than maybe WWII Online. You can paticipate in the massive battles to take a planet or operate as a small group infiltrating other bases else before the full on battle begins, there are so many options available. At this stage it's looking like it will also be a one off payment to play which is nice.

I think Fods will agree

 

It was certainly good, and one of the bonuses was that even if there weren't TOGers on there were the other clans we used to run 'n gun with that'd squad us up so wouldn't be running around alone. PS1 was a great game I do HOPE they keep the gameplay the same for the next installment!!

However I refuse to look forward to this given the disappointment of recent game releases.

Yeh, same here mate. Hopefully we'll be able to get a bash at the beta beforehand & maybe SOE are aware of what us the gamers have been dealing with in recent times with unfinished games being released & won't repeat the process.
