Got it from closed beta :) pre ordered as soon as it was available and picked the download version for the extra time it will save to play the final quicker... so I guess im in :)

The wife isnt too happy, she thought I was back to normal after getting rid of WoW for the last time, now ive replaced it ! hehe

And yay, they came out with a lifetime subscription offer till the start of Feb !! something WoW should have done years ago as well..

Just paid for my lifetime sub, US$230... yea yea.. im a trekkie nerd... :P

Yea same :) though after playing up to captain in the beta will make the head start a bit tedious after already doing everything !

Have you tried the Klingon side yet ? talk about a let down

No I haven't yet, spent OB, running 2 Chars to LCDR.

I did hear there was no PVE on the Klingon side, just straight PvP

Yea pretty much, a painfull way to level.. kinda fun though, but if they want people to take up the Klingon side, and lets face they must or who would the Feds fight, then they will have to do something to make it more intertesting.

I'm undecided on this one, since I still play a bit of WOW and dont want go give it up yet

Go on do it ! its like WoW in space cept better :)

If I play, it would be either Klingon or Ferengi. But I do prefer PvE for most of my wasted time online.

Is there a valid trading market? Can I make money buying and selling goods for Latinum?

These questions and more have to be answered for me to want to switch from Eve Online.

Yep, you can make your own char, but it doesnt make it Ferengi based, the missions are the same.. they will add more races later, romulans is next on the list I think.

If I play, it would be either Klingon or Ferengi. But I do prefer PvE for most of my wasted time online.


Klingon right now is really only PVP, but they will add more content soon they reckon, for PVE you would have to go Fed side.

There is, it has an AH like WoW, so you can buy and sell stuff, you run into random traders while flying around and can buy and sell etc..


These questions and more have to be answered for me to want to switch from Eve Online.

Try it when it comes out, am sure they will have a free week or something.. its actually pretty good :)

I was looking back over the small print in my Trekkie contract from '67, and found that I was obligated to buy any product which, in the future, portrayed events from this genre. So I bought it also via steam. I'm not happy with that contract but it's air tight. :o

I'm not happy with that contract but it's air tight. :olol must of had the updated version of that contract because I was was brought up on the next generation and as soon as I saw the word star trek no hesitation and am not disappointed good game as fast or slow as you want it highly recommend it especially if you watched a few episodes of the show and enjoyed it

Oh thats who added me :) looked at the name and was wondering :)

Just hit O ingame to bring up the social thing, easy from there.

ohhh im knackered, 2 days of grinding to Commander and ive not done a single mission :) just kept spamming the Defend system things.. quicker to level that way but gets boring.. might have a break now and chill with some normal missions... though I want to spam up to Captain so I can get a gGalaxy class, they look sexy :)
